This Ovation Chicago wedding is the perfect summer wedding inspiration! Even better though? The cuteness from Amber & Vince and their friends and family will have you smiling the whole time you scroll through this post 🙂

I fist met Amber & Vince on a very chilly day in December for their adorable engagement session at my studio! We had a blast playing around in the studio, them dancing to Harry Styles and me laughing at all of their jokes and cuteness. Zoom through the first half of 2022, and we’re at their wedding day! It was a stunning June day, and my first non-rainy wedding day of the year (seriously, early June was gross in 2022!). So between knowing these two would make the day so much fun and actually seeing the sun, I knew it would be a great day.

We started off at a West Loop hotel for their getting ready photos. I did my thing with all of the fun details Amber provided for me (still in love with her shoes!!), and then we got her and Vince all the cute prep shots before their first look. One of my favorite parts of the morning was when Amber opened Vince’s gift- he had written her letters every day for a month before the wedding! Cue the tears right!?

First up was Amber’s first look with her dad (soooo sweet right?) and then we had these two lovebirds see each other for the first time, and they were so ready to go. We then went over to an amazing ivy covered wall near the venue, where there was an amazing vintage car waiting for us to do photos with! We were a bit short on time, so we did a speed round of wedding party photos, and then some of my favorite couple photos ever with them and the car. Perfection.

Finally we made it to one of my favorite Chicago wedding venues- Ovation! I have shot here a few times, and every time I am just in love with the lighting this place gets. Plus, the team over at Amanda Paige Events did an incredible job with all of the decor, making it an even dreamier space than normal. Amber & Vince said “I do” to a tearful house, and then it was time to party! After their traditional first dances, they kicked off the open dancing in the best way possible- by recreating and lip singing to “This is What Dreams are Made of” from the Lizzie McGuire movie (!!!!) and then got the party started.
