Amanda & Kyle’s super chic downtown Chicago elopement is definitely one of my favorite sessions ever! Like seriously, my jaw actually dropped when we first met up at Chicago City Hall when I saw what they were wearing- how cute are they!? Amanda’s dress/cape situation and those feather shoes!? And Kyle’s sharp suit?? A fashion dream. Plus, you know, they like, really seemed to like each other a bit, which was, pretty cute 😉

We started the morning with a quick ceremony at City Hall, then went outside for some family photos. Then we took off around the city to some of my favorite photo locations ever: the Art Institute gardens (and indoors!) & The Wrigley Building. Amanda & Kyle really just wanted some chill, artistc photos, and they were up for anything I suggested, so I really got to play around which was amazing. From direct flash at the courthouse, to motion blur inside the museum, to slightly different poses than people normally want, it was all so much fun & very fulfilling. I love elopements so much for this reason! We’re given so much time to take more than the traditional images, and it’s the best.

We finished up the morning at a nearby restaurant where they were greeted by family & friends for a small reception. I loved the minimal decor with the black candles and the velvet chairs! Simple & chic. So take a look at this perfect downtown Chicago elopement & be inspired <3
