I'm so glad you're here. I'm Danielle, a fine art wedding & lifestyle photographer with a focus on capturing magical moments.
Are you ready to fall in love with this Sundance Studios Michigan wedding?? Well good, because this wedding is realllll easy to fall in love with 🙂 Nichole & Ken had the most perfect fall wedding at my new favorite venue, Sundance Studios back in October 2021. It’s roughly 2 hours outside of Chicago, and if you’re a loyal follower of mine, you know I love any wedding that requires a bit of travel! But let me start at the beginning.
The first time I met Nichole and Ken was for their similarly amazing engagement session in Chicago! We met on a stunning fall afternoon at the trail near their house where they walk their adorable pup. We walked around this beautiful area by the river, and ended with them eating a Molly’s cupcake, as they did on their first date! We then went to one of my favorite shoot locations, the Field Museum, and it was the perfect end to the perfect session- I knew right then that their wedding was something to be so excited about! And wow was I right.
About a year later I met them for their Sundance Studios Michigan wedding in the Benton Harbor Michigan area, and it was the best. From all the incredible details (still can’t get over Nichole’s vintage Oscar De La Renta shoes!!!) they had (both for flat-lays and around the venue) to the overall vibe from their family & wedding party throughout the day, it was simply perfection. After some fun getting ready shots in the super cute bridal and groom suites, we went into their adorable first look, then couple photos & wedding party shots. I love how adventurous everyone was and willing to walk down the street! To be fair, it was a very sleepy area of town so there were barely any cars around, but still haha. Then we went into their heartfelt ceremony, which Ken’s parents were sadly not able to attend, but they videoed them in, in true 2021 style 😉 Of course after that, it was party time! How stunning is that chandelier in the reception area!? And one of my favorite details was that Nichole & Ken grew all of the succulents that were the centerpieces (and even sent me home with one at the end of the night 🙂 )- such a cute touch. I’ve said it about a billion times before, but overall it was just the perfect wedding day. But don’t take my word for it! Scroll down and see for yourself 🙂
