This Art Institute Chicago engagement session is simple, sweet & stunning- what more could you want?? I met up with Theresa & Vlad on a lovely summer morning at The Art Institute of Chicago, and we spent the members only hour with the place basically to ourselves! We wandered around this stunning building and captured the two of them in all their cute, loving glory.

These two live in San Francisco, so this session actually took place the day before their wedding! I always include an engagement session in my wedding packages because I love to get to know my couples before the wedding day, even if it’s only 1 day before 😉 They were so excited to be only a day away from getting married, and I think you can feel that through the photos.

The Art Institute will forever be one of my favorite shoot locations in Chicago. The lighting is great in many areas, the building is stunning, and I love that my couples who want to shoot here are usually up for a little experimenting in the images- making art amongst all the art 🙂 And pro tip: become a member like I am, and then we can all get in for free and take advantage of the first hour they’re open, which means less people walking behind you in photos! Plus, then an easy second location is the beautiful gardens right outside, along with all of Michigan ave for that classic Chicago vibe.
