It’s intimidating trying to write about an engagement session as perfect as this one (dogs, cats, cupcakes, the Field Museum, I mean come on!), but I’ll do my best! From my first call with Nichole & Ken, I knew we’d be a perfect match, and their adorable & dreamy engagement session proved me right. We started near their home in the South Loop for some causal looks with their adorable pup, and some Molly’s Cupcakes! That’s where they had their first date, so I loved that they wanted to include that in the session. Plus they got one for me too, so I definitely wasn’t mad about that 😉

After we devoured our cupcakes, we went back to their place to change & also so I could meet their cat (so I was basically in animal heaven!), then we headed off to the Field Museum! I had been wanting to shoot at this stunning building forever, so I was so glad when they wanted to as well. We also wandered the lakeside where they usually have picnics, and got the perfect sunset city view photos. I love how much of their usual life they wanted to include in the session- I think it makes it so much more meaningful! I simply cannot wait for their wedding in Michigan this year, it’ll be the best 🙂
