My first time shooting an Artifact Events Chicago Wedding was the best thanks to Kyle & Tom! I live right down the street from Artifact Events, so when Kyle & Tom got in touch I was so excited. We first met up on Northerly Island for their stunning spring engagement session, and had so much fun talking about things we had in common (like for Kyle & I, true crime podcasts!) and it was a perfect spring golden hour session.

Cut to September 2022 and we met again at Gibsons for their rehearsal dinner! We popped outside to get a few photos of them in their chic outfits in the always cute River North area, and then I captured the fun and excitement of their guests all gathering before the big day. The next day I arrived at Artifact Events and it was wedding time! Kyle was such a chill bride, and you can tell that it really helped everyone have so much fun during their getting ready process. Once she was fully glammed, we did some adorable first looks (seriously, all three are so good! Especially Tom’s- it still gets me every time :,) ) and then headed off to Montrose Beach. I love shooting at the beach, even though we had quite the windy day! But everyone were troopers and we were able to get some really fun shots. Plus I honestly think the wind lent for some even more romantic couple shots <3

Then, it was go time for real when we got back to the venue! Their ceremony was full of heartfelt sentiments and traditions and was just all around amazing to witness. Something I really love is when couples do private vows, and during cocktail hour, that’s exactly what Kyle & tom did! I love that it gives couples the chance to say what they truly want to say to each other, without having to worry about what their guests think.

The rest of the night was spent with cocktails, great food, loving speeches, and so much dancing. It was quite the party!  One of my favorite things to do if I have a decent amount of dance floor time (over 30 minutes) is get a little creative with lighting, and do some light trails! It seriously makes it look like an even more fun party, and the colors can be just too good. Overall this was a day to remember, so check out this Artifact Events Chicago wedding and feel the love 🙂
