Whenever I can travel for a wedding, I am so excited, and a Lake Geneva wedding is always one of my favorite spots! It’s perfect that it’s not too far from Chicago, but still far enough that it’s a little different. Plus, being in Wisconsin means I can pick up some New Glarus beer on the way home (which is only sold in Wisconsin!) 😉 But all that aside, I truly loved getting to capture Kelsey & Colin’s laid back Lake Geneva wedding last year.

Although these two have been together forever and have a little one, they waited until they could host a big party at their stunning home to tie the knot! I’m so glad they did, because it was such a perfect setting for them to get married. The property was insane- huge, surrounded by beautiful forests, and everywhere you looked there was somewhere cool to take photos. We started off the day with some getting ready photos (where I got to meet their amazing Malamute!!!), and then went straight into the wedding. Colin’s first look has to be one of my favorites ever- how sweet is his reaction?? Then, after family formals, its began to rain! But luckily these two were so chill about it, and everyone stayed out in the rain and partied anyway. We even got the coolest couple photos of them in the rain with the sun shining- so magical.

It kept raining for pretty much the rest of the evening, but they didn’t let that stop the fun! We had a delicious dinner, heard hilarious speeches, and it finally stopped raining in time for the dance party. These two were just over the moon to finally be married, and I couldn’t be happier for them 🙂 So take a peek at all the love & joy at this Lake Geneva wedding, you won’t be disappointed!
