Fun fact: Katie is my cousin! So when I heard her and Carter got engaged, I was super excited for them, and even more excited when they contacted me about shooting their wedding! Kind of crazy how it all worked out- although we’re both from California, I’ve been living in Chicago for 12 years now (which sounds so insane when I say that! I’m old haha) and Katie moved here more recently for work, where she met Carter! When we met up for their engagement session at Olive Park, it was just the best. We spent the afternoon catching up, and of course, taking some adorable photos of the two of them. Then we headed over to Promontory Point, (where they showed up in perfect outfits! I mean I’m still in love with Katie’s dress and Carter’s matching bowtie!), and we took even more beautiful photos. The two of them are so natural and sweet together, they made it really easy for me 😉 Then once we were done, we all met up with my boyfriend for a delicious dinner of Indian food, and it was the best 🙂 Can’t wait for their wedding next year! It’ll be too good 🙂
