I first met Jackie & Robert when they invited me to their home to talk about wedding photography over wine and cheese and to meet their adorable pup- anyone who knows me could guess we were very quick friends from here! And when we finally got to their wedding day, it was incredible! It was one of those days where it just rained non-stop all day, but they didn’t let it get them down! Luckily they picked the stunning Hotel at Midtown to get ready in (seriously, one of the most perfect getting ready spots ever!) and we were able to switch over from an outside first look to an indoor one that actually turned out more beautifully than if we had done it outside! Then we drove around to some spots we knew had overhangs to still get a few outdoor photo vibes, and then went to the beautiful Bird Haven Greenhouse & Conservatory for their super sweet and very personalized ceremony (all the DIY decorations were the cutest!) and then to Cog Hill for the rest of the night. The cocktail hour & reception featured a mariachi band and so many more fun DIY touches, my favorite being their “thank you” gifts from their pup to all their guests dogs- such an adorable touch! I love when my couples put so much thought into every aspect of their day, and these two just nailed it! Check out all the prettiness for yourself 🙂
