I had been wanting to plan a fun yet more fine art wedding photography styled shoot for a while, but with Covid, I thought it might not happen because we couldn’t shoot indoors! Cut to the end of January, when I found out I needed a second knee surgery- in one week! Since I knew I wouldn’t be able to shoot, let alone walk, again for a few months, I threw caution (and cold temps) to the wind and decided I needed to do a shoot before the surgery! So I contacted some of my favorite friend-ors (friend vendors!) and we threw together a really cute Valentines Day shoot 🙂 I knew I wanted it to be super cheesy Valentines Day, but also sophisticated, so I decided on the International Museum of Surgical Science as the background! That building is just stunning and I’ve always wanted to shoot there, so it was all perfect.
On the day of the session, it had snowed the day before, and was 20 degrees out with crazy wind- perfect for an outdoor session, right?? But the beautiful Jessica was still up for the challenge, and in between locations, she warmed up in the car while I did detail shots. The balloons were a big part of my vision, but man was it hard to keep control of them! They ended up flying away at the end of the shoot, but luckily I still had my camera on me, so I got some last shots of them flying away haha. So, take a look at all this fine art wedding photography inspiration for some Valentines Day vibes <3
