When Amith contacted me with an idea to capture his Lincoln Park proposal to Cait, I was so excited! I love everything about capturing proposals, from the first emails & calls spent planning it, to the butterflies I get in my stomach right before the big moment, to watching two people madly in love celebrate the rest of their lives together- it’s just all the best <3

Amith planned a little scavenger hunt with notes he wrote for Cait, leading her to the Bridge Over South pond in Lincoln Park, where I stood hidden, ready to capture the “yes!”. Amith got so nervous that he got down on one knee before our set sign that he was ready, but we still got the important moment, and even re-created it in the background he really wanted after she said yes haha. It worked out for the best though, because this way they got the iconic “honeycomb” and the skyline as a background! Good to have choices right?? 😉 A Lincoln Park proposal is simply so romantic & classic Chicago! They were so happy & excited that they were just all smiles as we took a few shots after the proposal, and it was just too cute 🙂 Check out all the adorable moments below!
