Is there anything better than witnessing a proposal?? I don’t think so! Which is why capturing them is pretty much my favorite kind of shoot to do! I love working with the partner who is planning it- going through all the details to make it a perfect surprise, picking the location, and then actually being there to capture the big moment! I would be lying if I said I didn’t tear up myself behind the lens while watching it happen haha. So, when Brandon contacted me about capturing his proposal to Abby, I was thrilled! We made a plan to meet at the Riverwalk, and go from there. I got there early and acted like I was just a random person capturing photos of the city, so Abby had no idea what was coming! Then of course after she said “YES” I introduced myself, and we went off and captured their joy. Brandon had another surprise in store for her as well- he had coordinated their families to come into town, and as we were finishing up the shoot, they all ran towards us. I thought that was just such a cute touch, because then they all got to celebrate together. So, if you’re on the fence about hiring a proposal photographer, hopefully this will help you decide to do it, because there are seriously no happier photos than the moment right after you get officially engaged 🙂
