I'm so glad you're here. I'm Danielle, a fine art wedding & lifestyle photographer with a focus on capturing magical moments.
One of the things I cherish most about being a wedding photographer is the stories. Every couple has their own journey—how they met, fell in love, and decided on forever. Some spend years together before saying “I do,” while others jump right in. No matter the timeline, I’m always amazed by the connection, chemistry, and genuine joy that bring two people together. Capturing that unique story through my lens is such a privilege, and you’re going to love this special Milwaukee wedding at The Atrium.
And what an honor it’s been to document Anya and Jarrett’s story from the very start. It all began (for me, at least!) with an amazing surprise proposal at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Jarrett planned everything perfectly, and Anya couldn’t have been more surprised. From that moment forward, their journey unfolded beautifully—an engagement session soon followed, and then their incredible wedding at The Atrium in Shorewood, just outside Milwaukee.
Since their wedding day, Anya and Jarrett’s love story has blossomed even more, welcoming a beautiful newborn into their family. While my blog hasn’t quite caught up yet, I couldn’t resist mentioning how much joy it’s brought me to continue photographing their journey through newborn and family sessions. It’s a reminder of how special it is to follow along as couples build their lives together.
For Anya and Jarrett’s wedding, I enjoyed traveling to Milwaukee for their big day at The Atrium. If you haven’t yet discovered this gem, let me give you the inside scoop. The Atrium is a striking venue in Shorewood, near Milwaukee, blending botanical beauty with industrial chic. True to its name, the venue’s crown jewel is its stunning glass atrium filled with lush greenery and natural light. There’s also an elegant rooftop garden, perfect for intimate vows or sunset cocktails. Inside, industrial touches offer a modern, sophisticated ambiance (a perfect canvas for your vision). Its versatility makes it ideal for vibrant couples who love to bring their personality into the celebration.
Anya and Jarrett chose The Atrium because it perfectly reflected their style—modern yet welcoming, elegant yet relaxed. From the cheerful Ketubah signing to the emotional ceremony beneath a beautiful chuppah, followed by a night of dancing, it was the perfect place to host such an event.
One of the most rewarding aspects of documenting Anya and Jarrett’s journey was maintaining a consistent photography style across events. Shooting on film, my absolute favorite format, allowed me to capture their story authentically, warmly, and naturally—qualities that truly represent their relationship.
And as a bonus for my animal-loving heart, Anya and Jarrett included their adorable pup in the festivities, meeting up as they left the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel (which is beautiful for getting ready portraits, by the way). They say pets are family, and I couldn’t agree more. Seeing their furry companion again made their wedding day even sweeter.
Before diving into their beautiful wedding day, I want to pause and highlight the rehearsal dinner held at Onesto, a beloved Italian restaurant in Milwaukee. Anya and Jarrett made this evening far more than just a quick run-through or obligatory checklist item. They focused on creating an intentional and memorable gathering where family and friends could connect. Everything from the décor to the heartfelt speeches reflected the warmth and joy of their upcoming marriage.
White floral arrangements accented by lush greenery made the tablescapes come alive, enhanced by glowing candles and touches of gold. Anya was a stunner in an elegant bridal-white dress featuring puff sleeves and a statement oversized side bow—perfect for an evening of toasts and celebration.
Throughout dinner, guests shared nostalgic stories about Anya and Jarrett’s journey, bringing laughter, tears, and plenty of heartfelt moments. Jewish traditions filled the night, making it unforgettable for everyone involved. It was clear how deeply Anya and Jarrett value their relationships, friendships, and family, and I felt honored to capture that sentiment for them.
Anya and Jarrett’s rehearsal dinner reminded me why these pre-wedding photos are so valuable. Here’s a quick rundown of reasons you might want to consider it:
Including this evening in your photography coverage allows for a more complete, honest reflection of your celebration—one that you’ll treasure for years to come.
Anya and Jarrett’s wedding story at The Atrium was beautiful, authentic, and joyful—just like the couple themselves. I feel so fortunate to have witnessed and captured their love story from proposal to marriage, and beyond. Their celebration in Shorewood, WI, was one I’ll never forget.
Here’s to Anya and Jarrett’s continued love, friendship, and a lifetime of adventure.
