Is there anything better than a surprise Lincoln Park Chicago proposal!? Not really And this one was particularly fun because I got to hide and basically play paparazzi haha. Plus, it’s just so stunning & sweet, so definitely one to remember. Nadeem contacted me about capturing his proposal to Anjani, and when he said it would be at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond I was so excited! This is such a hidden treasure spot in the city- it seriously feels like you’ve been transported into a magical little world once you step inside the gates.

We planned to meet up on a gorgeous summer afternoon, and I pretended to play tourist taking nature photos (I loved this first one of this cool bird so much I had to include it here!) across the pond until I saw them get into position. Nadeem wanted this to be a complete surprise shot, so I hid across the pond with a zoom lens, which was so much fun! Then he dropped down on one knee and she of course said YES! After some celebrating, we spent some time taking photos of this adorable newly engaged couple 🙂 Proposal photography is seriously my favorite kind of photography session because of all the pure joy!
