I'm so glad you're here. I'm Danielle, a fine art wedding & lifestyle photographer with a focus on capturing magical moments.
Nikki & David’s Upper East Kenosha wedding was definitely one to remember! It was a chic day filled with so much love, and I’m so excited to finally be sharing it all on the blog.
I first met this stunning pair for their classic Chicago engagement session! We spent a beautiful summer evening capturing the joy, love and excitement they felt about finally getting married! Cut to basically exactly a year later, and we met up at the Stella Hotel & Ballroom in Kenosha Wisconsin for the big day! I had never shot in Kenosha before, so I was excited to see this adorable little town and explore. The Stella was simply stunning and a photographers dream- the lighting indoors was perfect, even on a rainy day, and there was so much wide, white/neutral colored space for photos. Since it was a rainy day, we took full advantage of these perks! We were able to do all of their getting ready, couple, wedding party & family formals done in one spot- so convenient! We were originally planning on doing portraits of everyone outside by the lake, but ended up only doing couple photos as it was too gross to get everyone outside. I love the moody, romantic shots we took of just the two of them out by the lake though! I think an overcast day always lends to such romantic images.
After all the formal photos were done, we headed to the lovely Upper East. In the same vein as The Stella, it was a perfect place for shooting! So bright & light, and I loved the subtle wall mural on one of the walls- that plus their pink couch made for some of my favorite images from the day. Everyone took a little time to relax and hang out before the ceremony, then it was I-do time! It was a heartfelt ceremony that didn’t leave many dry eyes in the whole place. Then we all headed outside for a whole group photo with confetti cannons- such a fun idea that Nikki & David had! After this, we somehow ended up with the sun peeking through, so we got some stunning golden hour shots during cocktail hour.
Up next was the party! I loved how the place cards came with a signature shot- it definitely helped kick things off right 😉 After some speeches, it was dance time, including a Horah! I love when people include little traditions like this throughout the day, and especially the Horah because it’s always SO much fun to take photos of. So, basically, check out this Upper East Kenosha wedding asap and it’ll make your day <3
