Even though I have been posting many blogs for the past few months, Yasmin & Brett’s wedding was my first actual shoot since early March! Once Covid hit, things just got nuts (as it did for everyone). I had cancellations left and right, and was so sad to think about not shooting weddings anytime soon. But then, Yasmin sent me an exciting email: they had decided to keep their original date and just do a super small celebration! I was so happy, as I knew their wedding would be a good one. So once the day arrived, we all met at my favorite venue, The Armour House in Lake Forest, and had a mini wedding day for them! We started with some gorgeous details and getting ready shots, then went into their super sweet ceremony (which was live streamed to Yasmin’s brothers all the way in Saudi Arabia!), had a champagne toast, and then did a few hours of family & couple photos. It was honestly so amazing to have so much time to do photos- everything and everyone felt relaxed and just so happy the whole day. Plus we got to explore every inch of the Armour House, which was so much fun! It’s definitely a weird time to be a wedding photographer (or really just a person in general haha) right now, but it fills me with so much joy that we can still have such happy events like a wedding to escape reality even for just a few hours 🙂 So take a break from the news or work or whatever, and check out their stunning mini wedding day and escape for a few minutes today ❤
