I first chatted with Sheena & Beau when I put out a model call when I was back home in the San Francisco area and looking for a couple to shoot. It sadly didn’t work out, but then when I heard from them a few months later about shooting their wedding, I was over the moon! It sounded right up my alley (Sheena mentioned there’d be cows and their pup would be a part of the day, so that pretty much sold it 😉 ) and so when the day finally came, I couldn’t wait. Some of my best friends from college were attending the wedding, so they stayed the night with me at my childhood home, and drove me up the 1.5 hours to the venue (such good friends right??) and then I got started capturing this perfect day! The venue, Spring Hill Estate, was almost too perfect, and funnily enough, where they shot the movie Scream! To say I was obsessed with both Sheena & Beau’s details would be an understatement- I mean, did you SEE those vintage Dior heels?? I’m still in love with them. Then of course, the couple. They were so so sweet and I couldn’t handle how cute they were together. After an adorable first look and some portraits, it was time for their stunning ceremony overlooking the classic golden California hills. It was an emotional ceremony that even included some meditation, which was such a nice feature. The rest of the night was spent taking so many fun shots of the two of them and their super great friends and family. Walking into that reception space was a thrill, and I didn’t have to use flash at all, which is something I always love! Twinkle lights make for such perfect mood lighting. All in all it was such an incredible day and I’m so glad they had me be a part of it 🙂
