Christina & Irshaad: Intimate Downtown Chicago Wedding

As exciting as capturing a large wedding can be, sometimes there’s just nothing better than a small, family-focused, intimate wedding! Not only is everyone less stressed, but I just enjoy so so so much getting to know the couple, and their closest friends & family, in a different way than I would have normally. It’s going to sound corny, but it’s honestly a huge honor to be invited to a day where you’re one of 15 people. That’s why, when I first started chatting with Christina & Irshaad and they said their day would be a little different than most, I was so exited! The second I met them, I saw how much they loved each other, and knew this would be the best 🙂

They invited me to spend the day with them, their family, and of course, their adorable pup Murphy, at their super cute apartment in downtown Chicago, and it was a day just full to the brim with love and happiness 🙂 They live across the street from the stunning Cancer Survivors Garden in Maggie Daley Park, so they rented the space for a few hours and had the ceremony there! After the ceremony, we went back to their place for cake, snacks (and of course, champagne!) and admired the incredible view from their balcony. Then, it was time for photos! This time was made even more fun because some of the family came along, so not only did we get a variety of couple shots, but also some more family photos in different locations. Christina & Irshaad have such a special connection not only with each other, but also each of their family members. It was quite the thing to be a part of! I absolutely love days where I get to take a million candid photos, so I was pretttttty happy with getting to spend basically the whole day doing just that. Time to take a look at the love & joy for yourself! 🙂
